Welcome to Dahlia Training Institute. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your enrollment in our programs, use of our facilities, and access to our website. By enrolling in any program or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Enrollment and Admission

1.1 Eligibility

• Most certificate programs require applicants to be 18 years or older
• Special programs (Robotics, Chess, Swimming, Art, Music) accept students from age 6+ with guardian consent
• Minimum academic requirements vary by program (typically KCSE D- and above)
• International students must have valid travel documents and appropriate visas

1.2 Application Process

Admission is subject to submission of required documents, meeting entry requirements, and payment of applicable fees. Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.

1.3 Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. Providing false information may result in dismissal from the program.

2. Fees and Payment

2.1 Payment Terms

• Registration fees are non-refundable
• Full payment or first installment is due at registration
• Installment plans are available for courses over Kshs. 20,000
• Outstanding balances must be cleared before certification

2.2 Payment Methods

We accept M-Pesa (Paybill 303030, Account 8093#), bank transfers, and cash payments at our campus.

2.3 Refund Policy

• 7+ days before course start: 80% refund of tuition fees
• Within first week of classes: 50% refund of tuition fees
• After first week: No refund available
• Registration fees are non-refundable in all cases
• Medical emergencies reviewed case-by-case with documentation

3. Academic Policies

3.1 Attendance

• Minimum 80% attendance is required for certification
• Late arrivals (more than 15 minutes) count as absence
• Medical absences require a doctor's note
• Students below 80% attendance may need to repeat the course

3.2 Academic Integrity

Academic dishonesty, cheating, or plagiarism is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate dismissal without refund.

3.3 Certification

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of program requirements, including attendance, assessments, and payment of all fees. External certification (NITA, ICDL, etc.) timelines vary by certification body.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1 Expected Behavior

• Respect for instructors, staff, and fellow students
• Professional and modest attire appropriate to the program
• Punctuality and regular attendance
• Care for institute property and facilities

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

• Harassment, bullying, or discrimination
• Drug or alcohol use on campus
• Theft, vandalism, or property damage
• Violence or threats of violence
• Unauthorized recording of classes
• Disruptive behavior

4.3 Disciplinary Procedures

• First offense: Verbal warning
• Second offense: Written warning with parent/guardian notification
• Third offense: Suspension or expulsion depending on severity

Appeals may be submitted in writing within 5 business days.

5. Use of Facilities

Students have access to institute facilities during operating hours (Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, Saturday 9AM-1PM). Use of facilities is subject to:

• Following safety guidelines and instructor directions
• Using equipment only as trained and authorized
• Reporting any damage or malfunction immediately
• Maintaining cleanliness and order

6. Intellectual Property

All course materials, content, and resources provided by Dahlia Training Institute are protected by copyright. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share course materials without written permission.

7. Photography and Media

By enrolling, you acknowledge that photographs or videos may be taken during classes and events. Use of your image for marketing purposes requires explicit written consent via the enrollment form.

8. Liability

8.1 Personal Property

Dahlia Training Institute is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property on campus. Students are advised not to bring valuable items.

8.2 Personal Injury

While we maintain a safe environment, participation in certain programs (swimming, practical training) involves inherent risks. Students participate at their own risk and must follow all safety guidelines.

9. Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

• Use the site for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Transmit viruses or malicious code
• Collect user information without consent

10. Changes to Programs

Dahlia Training Institute reserves the right to modify program content, schedules, fees, and instructors. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Kenya.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued enrollment or use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
